Everything Heretofore was the Prequel
The Human Body is a Resiliant Miracle
A Chemical Machine
from the birth of the human form,
every sound, sight, taste, smell, sensation
blanketed us in a cascade of neural chemical reactions,
spurring us forward in our evolution,
deepening our relationship with each other and our world.
and plants have seen us every step of the way.
for every neurotransmitter, there is a receptor
with checks and balances, and enough variety to keep us indefinitely engaged.
HOWEVER
when we refine organic compounds to the point of being unrecognizable
when we substitute a relationship with the world around us for a pill,
it is time to reflect on the purpose of pleasure and the reason why we exist in the first place.
the good news is,
life can only improve by giving it an honest look
and adjusting our habits accordingly
